Dr Sam Ferguson is a translator and academic based in Lancaster. He holds a doctorate in French literature from the University of Oxford, and has published widely on modern French literature and literary theory.

In 2018, Sam published Diaries Real and Fictional in Twentieth-Century French Writing (Oxford University Press). He is currently preparing a second book on Blanchot, Barthes, and AIDS writing.

Sam studied French and Classics as an undergraduate at New College, Oxford. His graduate work focused on life writing in modern French literature. From 2014 to 2018, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow at Christ Church, Oxford. He has taught at Oxford and the Université Paris Nanterre.

Sam has published articles, chapters, and reviews in publications including French Studies, the Times Literary Supplement, and The Cambridge History of the Novel in French. He provides peer reviews for publications including History of Science and Proceedings of the Modern Language Association.

Dr Jon Templeman is a translator based in London. He holds a doctorate in French literature from the University of Oxford.

Jon studied French and philosophy as an undergraduate at New College, Oxford. His doctoral work was on Descartes and early modern universities.

His work has appeared or is forthcoming in French Studies, Early Modern French Studies, and Intellectual History Review.
